The toilet’s broken. “I repaired that, I told ya, get the plumber in again! (and again, and again, and again!!!)” This is Double Trouble, the frantic, enjoyably daft lead-off single from What The World Needs Now, an argument with his wife used to illustrate Lydon’s continued commitment to .

Along with their previous album "This is PiL", it seems now that they might be venturing into yet another category with 's release "What The World Needs Now." released on their own, self funded dedicated label, they're back to their confrontational, acerbic best. the godfathers of post punk (and in turn all that it went on to encompass and inspire) have a way with words and texture, and while this release comes some 37 years after they first blew the minds of the general public, they're still just as relevant and definitely what the world needs now.

What The World Needs Now is PiL’s second studio album since the band ended a year-long hiatus in When Lydon resurrected the group, he clearly had the intent of invoking the explosively.

Sep 15,  · What the World Needs Now is an improvement on ’s This Is PiL primarily because Lydon’s vocal theatrics and calisthenics are even more entertaining this time. He rants, spits, croons.
